The initial diagnostic will clarify if what you need is what we offer. If it's not—if your barrier is primarily performance, industry knowledge, organizational politics, or timing—we'll tell you that honestly and suggest alternative approaches.
How much does your program cost?
That depends on what you need. Based on our initial conversations we will determine what aspects of our service will be valuable to you, and then adjust our program and pricing to fit your specific requirements. And we like to have your final program cost agreed upon before we start, rather than apply a costly ongoing hourly rate.
Can I do this work while employed?
Yes. Many of our clients are currently employed, and we can accommodate your schedule. And if your objective is to achieve an internal promotion we help you to apply developmental activities to your current position.
How long until I see results?
Nobody can make that promise. It can depend on a number of factors that are out of our control - employer decision-making, market conditions, timing, organizational dynamics etc. What we can commit to is staying with you until you do achieve your objectives.
What if I've already worked with career coaches?
If it worked you wouldn't be considering us. Most career coaches / resume writers focus on your motivation, basic networking, ATS resume satisfaction, and generic advice. Our approach easily encompasses all of these, but goes well beyond to focus on your real, specific needs and what will be most effective to address them. We ensure that everything is in alignment with your short and long term goals, your strategy to achieve them, how to overcome success barriers, and how to effectively present your value better than your competition.
Do you guarantee outcomes?
We guarantee program quality. But we cannot guarantee selection outcomes — nobody can. Final selection depends on employer decisions, market conditions, timing, organizational dynamics, and factors outside our control. What we can guarantee is that you will better define your career objectives and how to achieve them, increase self-awareness of your performance capabilities, gain insight into how to further develop your skills, become better at coping with employer inferences, and increase your competitiveness via effectively presenting your value. And we will stay with you until you achieve your goal.
What if my challenge is organizational politics?
If internal advancement is blocked by politics rather than capability demonstration, we can incorporate that into your program, or else focus your positioning on external opportunities where your advancement isn't constrained by current organizational dynamics.
Can you help with specific employment applications?
Absolutely. We encourage quality of applications rather than quality. But we don't do the work for you. We guide and support your efforts, helping you to customize your positioning to be applicable to any high-value opportunities that fit your strategy. During the program, we can discuss whatever any additional specific application support makes sense for your situation.
Do you work with people outside of canada?
Yes. While our programs are typically based on general evaluator decision-making research, we appreciate the essential need to adapt to different regional and international cultures. We have worked with clients in the Middle East, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Eastern and Western Europe.
