​Some background:

• Married to my wife Nancy for 31 years, both of us are very proud of our two grown sons
• Currently a permanent resident of Burlington, Ont
• A seasonal resident of Healey Lake, Muskoka Ont since 1960 (hopefully permanent soon)
• 12 years on the Executive and Treasurer, Healey Lake Property Owners Association, (HLPOA)​

• Part-time professor at Sheridan and Conestoga Colleges (4 years)
• Teach courses in management and leadership development, team dynamics and employee engagement, organizational behaviour, creativity and innovation, recruitment and selection, career development

•  Own and operate Career Advancement Employment Services Inc. for over 23 years

• Graduate of the University of Waterloo with a Joint Honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies and Political Science degree (B.E.S.) (4 years)
  • ​Thesis on "Evaluating the Effectiveness of Regional Government in Regional Planning (Peel)" 
  • Focus on urban and rural development / planning, Official Plans, Zoning Bylaws
• Completed coursework related to urban and rural development / planning and organizational performance in the Masters of Environmental Studies (M.E.S.) and Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) programs at York University (3 years)
  • Study focus: "Applying Private Sector Decision Making Processes to Increase Public Sector Efficiency"
